So this term "Overnight Oats" has been buzzing around everywhere. You see it on Pinterest, Facebook and all over Instagram and any social media feed, but you're wondering to yourself what exactly are overnight oats. To put it more simply, "Overnight Oats" are a no-cook method of preparing and enjoying oatmeal.
In fact, you soak the oats overnight, hence the term "overnight" and your oatmeal breakfast is ready to eat the next morning. No cooking, no heating, no other preparation required other than adding your favorite milk (dairy or nut milk for those vegans out there!) and setting in the fridge overnight. Sounds simple, right?
Well, not exactly...there is usually much more work to be done than just adding milk to a jar of oats and soaking overnight. Kind of boring maybe? I'd say so myself.
Typically, recipes vary based on flavors and other ingredients you might add like chia seeds, spices, nuts and even fruit and thats where things can get a little complicated. How much of this? And How much of that? Do you ever really get it right? I thought this was supposed to be easy!!!! (As chia seeds go flying everywhere over the kitchen).
At the end of the day, when you're planning meals for the following day, the last thing anyone wants to do is spend more time fiddling around in the kitchen and then cleaning up...and that's where Rachel's comes in...
